Partial closure at Sky Harbor's Terminal 4 after car left unattendedSeptember 16, 2018
PHOENIX – Parts of Sky Harbor Airport’s Terminal 4 have been shut down Sunday morning as police investigate a vehicle that was left unattended.
Airport officials say travelers should avoid coming to Terminal 4 until the situation is resolved. Affected airlines include: Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, Southwest Airlines, Volaris, WestJet, and Condor.
Julie Rodriguez, with the Phoenix Aviation Department, said the pre-security area in the east side of the terminal has been evacuated.
Three of four security checkpoints have also been closed, she said.
The PHX Sky Train is not dropping passengers off at Terminal 4 as officials investigate the situation, and State Route 143 ramps to the airport have been closed.
Rodriguez said Phoenix police are working to resolve the incident as soon as possible.
