Antonio Brown was stopped by police Wednesday night and cited for speeding less than 24 hours before the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Carolina Panthers on “Thursday Night Football,” according to a report by WPXI in Pittsburgh.

Brown was cited for going more than 100 miles per hour southbound on McKnight Road near McCandless Crossing, according to police. He was cited for reckless driving.

The officer was in the area looking for a possible bank robbery suspect when a black Porsche sped by, according to police. The officer pulled the driver over and found it be Brown.

The area north of Pittsburgh is known as being the “problem roadway” in Ross Township and was the target of PennDOT funding for targeting speeding in 2015.

Brown’s event-filled 2018 continues

Brown made headlines approximately a month ago when a pair of lawsuits were filed against him in Florida. The first lawsuit alleges that Brown threw objects from a balcony that nearly hit a man and his 22-year-old grandson.  A second lawsuit was filed by the unit’s landlord, charging that the wide receiver damaged the unit and didn’t pay for the damages.

The veteran started the season by being very vocal about the Steelers struggles. They’re now on a four-game winning streak going into Thursday night’s 8:20 p.m. match-up and have control of the AFC North with a 5-2-1 record. Carolina (6-2) is in a battle with the New Orleans Saints for the NFC South.
